  • Hands on Project

There will be an opportunity on Sunday 18th March for delegates to participate in an optional hands on project.

This project involves working in teams to pack dry food components into a family food pack which can feed five people. These are then sealed, use by stamped and packed for shipment to developing countries such as the Philippines. They are held in storage for use in disaster relief or if not needed are then distributed to families in need. The FORaMEAL food packaging project is a project of the Canterbury Rotary Club, initiated by Past President Doug Hawley who can source ingredients at low cost through his dry food packaging business.

This will be a great chance to mingle with other Rotarians and non-Rotarians and chat as well as Making a Difference. Previous events have been a lot of fun.
