Meet the Maremmas
In a world-first, Maremma dogs were trained and placed on Middle Island to protect the penguins from foxes during the breeding season. The project has been a huge success, with no evidence of fox attacks since the beginning of the Project and a steady increase in penguin colony size to an estimated 180 penguins in 2013.
Two Maremma guardian dogs, sisters Eudy and Tula, spend five days per week on Middle Island during the breeding season and on their days off they live at Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, interacting with visitors and helping to educate people about environmental conservation.

City Highlights Bus Tour
This 1 hour guided bus tour takes in the highlights of the beautiful and historic city of Warrnambool.
Warrnambool has a unique heritage with a rich diversity types and styles of place, represented in building stock (residential, pastoral, industrial and commercial) and landscape from almost all eras since European settlement in the area.
Two tours are lscheduled each imited to 40 people.
Back of House Tour
Come and experience the maritime museum and see how the artefacts are cared for and protected.
Tours limited to 15 people.
City Walking Tour
Join in a guided 3km Heritage Walk to some of Warrnambool’s most famous and attractive historic buildings.
There is no better way to enjoy the fresh air and the sites than this one hour walk. Tour capacity is 40.
Cricket Match on Friday 16th March 2018
All Rotarians attending the conference are invited to play in this cricket match at Dennington Oval.
Tony Plant, who is a member of the fellowship, is organising the match. He would like to see as many conference attenders as possible take part. This will be an ideal opportunity to introduce newcomers to our wonderful fellowship.
The game will commence at 11am and conclude in time for all to attend the conference opening.

Join Grant Hocking on one-or more-of his walking tours on Saturday or Sunday morning of the conference. The walks will start and finish at the conference venue and will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
